Question
Dear Sarita,
Recently after I read your newsletter, I tried to do Mahamudra a couple of times and I found that immensely energising during the prayer phase. But deep down there was still fear and I was holding myself back, a feeling of: ”I’m still not prepared”.
My whole body used to tremble and I had to stop forcibly that energy. The most frequent problem I feel is that I don’t feel rooted and my periods are often late in the last year. I have been examined medically and there is no problem.
I also feel highly uprooted and not grounded and then feel fearful in my heart, some kind of restlessness around the heart area. I feel my heart is too much open and big, and it gets connected neither up or down. I am too sensitive to food and the environment also. Please suggest how do I get more grounded and relaxed into my body?
Lots of love, Nijarna
Answer
Hello Nijarna,
In order to feel more grounded in your body, it is good to practise some sort of Yoga, or holistic healing such as Ayurveda. When we do intensive meditation, it is important to find balance by doing body oriented activities as well. Dance, Yoga walking in nature, and healing methods or massage, all will help with this. Sometimes, it may be best to simply hug a tree, or lay down on the earth and feel the embrace of nature.
