A beautiful poem from the pen of Kamla, who, on her return to the UK from Hawaii early this year, was inspired by gazing out at the River Avon and the peace that comes from letting go.
The River Knows
Dusky garden,
jasmine scented air.
Silent, distant woods watch with me
this river flowing by,
taking all it knows.
Pausing a moment,
to breathe and feel
this heart’s pain of letting go.
The river knows,
the trees know,
nothing lasts,
it all flows away,
eventually.
Breath again,
know peace once more.
